A new visitor-management service becomes part of a community one household at a time. At Grandezza in Estero, Florida, the introduction of GoAccess brought resident preparation and a clear transition date together. The community’s August announcement and October follow-up offer a public account of that change.

Preparing residents for a shared launch

In August, the Grandezza Master Board announced its planned move from dwellingLIVE to GoAccess. Residents were asked to set up their accounts and check their household information before September 1, while continuing to register guests in the existing system until the switch.

The board’s plan included emailed instructions, a short video and help sessions. It also explained that existing guest lists would become available in GoAccess at launch, with residents asked to review those lists afterward. These details were part of the announced transition plan, rather than a guarantee about every future migration.

For an association planning a similar introduction, that sequence is useful: explain what residents can prepare now, what changes on launch day and where they can find assistance. Our approach to onboarding starts with understanding a community’s routines so the transition can be planned around them.

A September launch with growing participation

The October community update confirmed that GoAccess launched on September 1. It reported that nearly 80% of residents registered before launch, and that nearly 90% had registered and were using GoAccess by mid-September.

Those community-reported milestones describe participation at that point in the rollout. They give other boards a concrete example of the role resident preparation can play when introducing a new service.

Helping households welcome their guests

Grandezza’s follow-up encouraged residents to manage guest registration through the GoAccess app or website. It directed households to a resource center with instructions and a video tutorial, as well as GoAccess support. The publication also described a telephone registration option for residents unable to use a smartphone or computer.

The practical question for another community is how its own households will authorize visitors and find help. During a visitor-management walkthrough, bring the everyday scenarios your team handles: an expected guest, a recurring visitor and a resident who needs assistance. Review those steps alongside the gate-access arrangements at your entrances.

Planning your community’s next chapter

Grandezza’s story brings the human side of a technology change into view: clear instructions, an agreed date and continued guidance for residents.

If your association is considering a move from dwellingLIVE, our switching guide covers the questions to ask about records, equipment, training and cost. The right plan begins with your community’s needs, rather than an assumption that every transition will follow the same path.
