GoAccess vs. myQ Community: HOA Access Comparison
Compare GoAccess and LiftMaster myQ Community for gate access, mobile credentials, entry equipment, community workflows, and project scope.
This comparison is written by GoAccess, one of the providers discussed. Product information was checked on October 11, 2026 using the linked public sources. We have not independently tested the competing system; confirm features, availability, and terms in your proposal.
Separate gate equipment from access management
LiftMaster presents myQ Community as a way to manage connected entrances, mobile credentials, and access-event video from one dashboard. Its offering spans entry equipment and community access management. See LiftMaster community management.
GoAccess focuses on connected visitor management, vehicle recognition, gate permissions, and community operations. An existing LiftMaster gate operator does not by itself determine which software is compatible with the rest of your installation.
Build an equipment inventory first
| Decision | myQ Community evaluation | GoAccess evaluation |
|---|---|---|
| Existing entrance hardware | Identify supported LiftMaster equipment and software requirements | Review exact operators, controllers, readers, and connection details |
| Resident entry | Demonstrate the included mobile or physical credentials | Demonstrate the proposed LPR and compatible credentials |
| Guest arrivals | Demonstrate the selected guest-access and intercom workflow | Demonstrate invitations, passes, and gatehouse processing |
| Community oversight | Show access history and video included in the proposal | Show household, visitor, credential, and vehicle reporting |
Include operator model numbers, access controllers, readers, intercoms, network connections, and power arrangements in your inventory. Ask the provider or integration partner to mark what stays, what changes, and who supports each part.
Follow a resident and a guest through the property
Test a resident returning by car, a delivery at the entrance, and a guest visiting a shared amenity. Determine where access is granted, how it is revoked, and which events staff can review later. A single connected entrance demonstration is not sufficient evidence for an entire multi-gate community.
Review GoAccess gate access control, visitor management, and amenity access. Confirm any proposed myQ or LiftMaster interoperability in writing; this article does not claim a universal integration.
Compare the contract scope
Include equipment, installation, subscriptions, credential costs, connectivity, training, and ongoing service. Ask who residents contact for assistance and who responds when an entrance stops working. This comparison does not establish an equivalent public price for both systems.
Arrange a GoAccess demonstration around your property’s equipment, or compare other community access providers.
